Meet Tom

Tom is a 65 year old disabled Veteran of the United States Marine Corps who proudly served his country with two tours in the Vietnam war. Tom recently relocated to Chicago from Nevada after suffering a medical emergency. He worked many years as a certified diesel mechanic but his recent medical diagnosis has left him with a limited ability to provide for himself. Tom is currently living at a transitional home for Veterans experiencing homelessness, where he arrived with literally just the clothes on his back. The staff at the transitional home is assisting Tom in rebuilding his foundation, and he hopes to soon move to more stable housing. In the meantime, however, he needs to acquire necessities, such as vital documents (birth certificate, etc), and a change of clothing.
