Manny, his wife, and their son were already in a difficult situation before the pandemic as just a few months prior, Manny was diagnosed with cancer. His job is not able to be performed remotely, and because he is immunocompromised, he has not been able to go into work. In order to care for Manny at home and monitor their son's online schooling, his wife has had to cut back on her hours at work. Along with the expense of Manny's treatment, they also have to pay for transportation to and from his treatment sessions. Because of the virus, public transportation is too much of a risk so they are having to pay for Ubers or taxis. With their decreased income and increased expenses, Manny and his family need support to cover these costs. Once they are vaccinated, their son will be able to return to school, Manny's wife will be able to pick up more hours at work, and they will be able to start taking public transportation again, but until then, they need assistance to pay for groceries and transportation. This will allow them to make ends meet for the next few months until they are in a more stable situation.
